Antique Bronze sculpture of a Knight Raising Horned Drinking Vessel
Antique Bronze sculpture of a Knight Raising Horned Drinking Vessel
A 19th Century bronze sculpture of a knight in armor lifting a horned drinking vessel, standing on top of a marble plinth mounted to a marble base. The knight wears a helmet and robe over his scale armor. With his left hand he holds the robe and with his right he holds the horn vessel as his left foot appears to be stepping off of the bronze base. This is a highly detailed small bronze on a rouge marble plinth and base. The bronze is unsigned. The overall height is 10”. The height of the bronze itself (not including the marble base) is 7”.
There are small nicks in the marble base and some soiling and dirt accumulation in the folds of the robe and under the figure’s arms. There are tiny nicks in the marble base, but do not detract from the piece. There are no missing, damaged, or broken pieces.
