This is a beautiful folk art painting depicting a castle and what appears to be a man, leading a donkey, carrying a woman in a red top, holding an umbrella along the castle road. This is the style of painting like Grandma Moses did. The painting is unsigned and artist is unknown. There are no visible markings anywhere to indicate the artist. It features beautiful greens and blues, and is vibrant. The approximate dimensions are sight: 24 1/4" x 20 1/2", with frame: 28 1/2" x 24 3/4".

Condition: The painting was damaged (creased) and has been professionally restored in a gallery, glued down to a board, cleaned, touched up along the crease,re-varnished, and framed in a contemporary but antique looking frame that goes very well with the piece. The crease is still visible, but has been minimized to the extent possible with the repair.
