An oil on canvas paining attributed to Jan Looten (1618-1681), Travelers in a Wooded Landscape. The painting shows a lush wooded landscape with two elegantly dressed men on horseback in the foreground and deeper in the scene is another man on horseback and a beggar, holding out his hat for a donation. This is a large painting in an antique gilt frame and quite impressive in size and scope.

The painting itself measures 33 1/4” x 45 1/4” and overall with the frame measures 41 1/4” x 52 1/4”. There is significant craquelure throughout the sky. The painting has been recently cleaned and revarnished by Baumgartner Fine Art Restoration in Chicago.
