Circle of Jan Vermeer van Haarlem, Oil on Panel, An Extensive Landscape with Windmill

A 17th Century oil on panel painting in gilt frame, by an artist within the circle of Jan van der Meer, called Jan Vermeer van Haarlem (1628-1691), this extensive landscape with windmill is elegant in its simplicity, showing the windmill and fields as well as vegetation and an underground storage vault within cloudy sky. It is a small, yet beautiful 17th Century Dutch landscape. The work is unsigned.

The panel measures 11 1/2” x 17 ” and overall with the antique gilt frame measures 15” x 20 1/2”. The painting is in very good overall condition and ready to hang.
