After Sir Edwin Henry Landseer, "High Life" oil on canvas, signed lower left "L. Wagner". Painting depicting a Medieval period interior scene with a hound dog at center resting on back legs against a red upholstered wooden chair, a swordsman's glove to the floor beside him, and a table behind adorned with a knight's helmet, a silver goblet, a single silver candlestick, and several open books. A draped window behind the table reveals a castle wall with red flag mounted beyond the crenellated roofline. The original painting of this title is housed in the British Museum. The painting was originally juxtaposed with another painting of Landseer's called "Low Life" depicting a bull dog in a not so aristocratic setting. Framed approximately 44.75" x 32.75", unframed approximately 36" x 24".
