An oil on canvas painting by Belgian artist, Alex de Andreis (1880-1929) depicting a French courtier in red topcoat with lace collar. The clean-shaven man wears a wide-brimmed hat and is turned to his left. The face is painted in wonderful detail. The painting is presented in a gilt and gesso frame.

The site area of the painting measures 13 1/4” x 10 1/4” and overall with the frame measures 19 1/4” x 16 1/4”. The painting is in excellent condition. The frame has had some repairs and appears to have been re-painted.
