This painting by Belgian artist, Alex de Andreis (1880-1929), depicts a musketeer in blue, facing the viewer and holding his musket over his left shoulder. His clothing features an elaborate pointed lace collar, a window can be seen over his left shoulder, and a marble pillar or column over his right. It is signed in the lower right corner by the artist. The site area of the painting measures approximately 32” x 25” and the overall size with the frame is aprpoximately 42” x 35”.

The painting was cleaned and varnished and the frame was repaired by Chicago Fine Art.
