An oil on canvas painting by Belgian artist, Alex de Andreis (1880-1929) depicting “A Cavalier in Blue” standing before a stained and leaded glass panel and a paneled wall. This man is clean-shaven and wearing a large wide-brimmed hat, blue coat over a green shirt with gold buttons and lace collar, looking directly at us. Provenance: Haynes Fine Art.

The site area measures 13 1/2” x 10 1/4” and overall with the gilt frame measures 21 1/4’ x 18 1/8”. The painting is in very good condition. The gilt frame has some old repairs and touch-up to the paint, but looks good in its current condition and is ready to hang.
