A beautiful small painting in its original antique gilt frame by English artist Joseph Thors (1835-1900) depicting a woman and child walking down a path between a windmill on the left and a large manor house on the right. The balance of elements and the depiction of the sky and the clouds are what make this painting so wonderful.

The site area of the painting measures approximately 15 1/2” x 11 1/2” and the overall size including the frame is approximately 21” x 17”. The painting is in excellent condition, with no damage noted, very bright and clean, and the frame is also in excellent condition, apparently well taken care of for well over 100 years old.
