This is an antique Spanish Renaissance Revival coffer which has been converted into a hall bench. The lid opens up and leans against the wall to form the back, and a piece of plywood covered in red velvet serves as the seat. The coffer can be closed and displayed that way as well. It has a great helmeted soldier motif with large paw feet.

The dimensions are 57” wide x 23” high (closed) x 20” deep. There are age cracks in the top and minor abrasions as would be expected from age and use. This is esteemed to be from the late 19th century with the bench top being much newer.
