An oil on canvas painting by French artist, Charles Caius Renoux (1795-1846) depicting a castle siege. The painting is signed and dated 1826.

The painting measures approximately 9 3/4” x 7 3/8” and with gilt frame measures 14” x 11 1/2”. The painting has a lovely glossy varnish and is in very good condition with some craquelure as would be expected with age. The frame has separation at each of the four corners, but is not overly distracting.
