An oil on panel painting by English artist, Edmund John Niemann, entitled “Through the Glade”. A beautiful and charming, small painting by the artist depicting a woman wearing a red shawl, walking on a path through a forest glade. The painting is signed by the artist in the lower left corner, and is presented in an antique period gilt and gesso frame with artist name plaque. The back of the panel has several tags, including one showing that it was sold at Harrod’s Picture Department in London.

The painting measures 14” X 10” and overall with frame measures 19 1/4” x 15 7/8”. Both painting and frame are in excellent condition. The paint is clean and bright with no signs of in-painting.
