Full Knight's Suit of Armor in the 16th Century Style
A full life-size suit of armor in the 16th Century style, likely late 19th or early 20th Century. The close helmet composed of typical form with breaths on each side. Armor posed with a large sword on a wooden painted base.
Recently re-leathered, lightly polished, cleaned and waxed with Renaissance wax. The armor is mounted on a wooden form, which is bolted to the base.
This armor is a great statement piece, lacks some of the lavish details of some of the other armors, such as etching or embossed details, but still likely an antique piece at a more affordable price.
Condition: light rusting in some areas, which has been polished and waxed to prevent any further damage to the metal. Leathers are new; leathers holding tassets to fauld are glued, rather than riveted to fauld plates, which is the same manner as previous leather attachment.
