Spanish Renaissance Style Carved Birch Armchair, 19th c. the arched crest over a floral and figural embossed leather upholstered back above a square embossed leather seat with a decorative bronze floret nail head trim and a scalloped skirt, within foliate carved arms, on ring turned legs to bun feet, joined by a gargoyle carved box form stretcher, H.- 48 1/2 in., W.- 26 3/4 in., D.- 25 in.

Condition: Consistent with age and use. Chair is sturdy overall.  Finish is inconsistent with wear to the wood.  There are scattered old wormholes along the stretcher which is a clear sign of its age.  The leather has minor cracks throughout, but is solid.
