Villeroy and Boch Delft style blue and white charger of a cavalier or gentleman, signed F. Hals.  This is one of the early chargers made by Villeroy and Boch in Mettlach, Germany in the Delft style.  It is 12" in diameter, has a wire for hanging on the back and features the marks for V&B and M for Mettlach.  This is number 5042/1044 and shown in the Mettlach Book by Gary Kirsner on page 282 with a value of $150-$250.  It is in perfect condition, no chips, cracks, or hairlines. There is crazing on the back which can be seen in the photo, but this only shows the age and would be expected.
