Make a bold statement with this pair of Flemish figural carved high back arm chairs, c.1900 with carved shell and scroll motif throughout, each having a shaped top rail with a central shell crest flanked by dolphins, a red fabric upholstered splat, curved arms terminating in scrolled knuckles with acanthus leaves, red fabric upholstered seat rising on carved stretcher joined base with two scrolled front legs, later upholstery, restoration, approx 55"h, 24.5"w, 19"d.

Condition: chairs are sturdy enough for occasional use, red fabric has some dirt and fading, especially on the back of one of the chairs (see photo), expected wear for age and use.
