Spanish Style Renaissance Revival Bar Cabinet with Carved King and Queen
Spanish Style Renaissance Revival Bar Cabinet with Carved King and Queen
A Spanish style Renaissance Revival bar cabinet or dining room hutch with heavily relief carved King and Queen above two drawers, raised on hairy lion’s paw style feet with iron stretcher between the legs. The cabinet has interior mirrors on back, sides and bottom and there is a light above. The doors open with a pull and key. The key is a bit difficult to turn, but does function. There is one scalloped glass shelf in the center of the cabinet as can be seen in the photos.
The cabinet measures 68 1/2” high, 48” wide and 18” deep and likely dates from the mid 20th Century, but unsure of actual dating. The wood species may be maple or beach, but is undetermined. There is a label on the back of the cabinet from a furniture store in Nice, France with a delivery address in Spain. There is some slight wear as would be expected from age and use, and there is a small chip on the top back right of the cabinet. The mirror on the right hand interior has some cracks, but is actually not too noticeable. Please reach out if additional photos are needed. This cabinet is part of a larger suite of dining room furniture including a table, chairs and buffet, but is being offered separately also. If you would like to purchase the entire suite, this is under a different listing.
